Reading time: 45 seconds | Watching television is something that most people spend too much of their spare time doing. It is easy to just sit down, turn on the set and watch anything that comes on. Listening to the radio is different because you do not have to sit in one place. Music and talk shows on radio can be heard at the same time you are doing something else. For this reason you must choose carefully the programs that you watch on TV. Many of the programs are not worth spending your time on. Reading a good book is much more valuable than most shows on television. | Is watching TV the best way to spend our spare time and entertain ourselves? Why?

Possible answer: Many people spend too much of their spare time watching TV because it is easy to just sit down and watch anything that comes on. But there is too much violence and crime on TV, and it's not healthy for our minds.
