Gerry's Vocabulary Teacher
A vast collection of sentences in context, which teachers can use to simply and quickly produce gap-fill exercises for reviewing, reinforcing, and testing vocabulary. A demo can be downloaded from this site. The program, which is both PC and Mac compatible, can also be purchased through this site.

This website features over 500 gap-fill exercises to learn and review over 1500 items of general vocabulary in English. Gap-fill exercises are an excellent way to practise vocabulary in different contexts and can be used to broaden the student's understanding of the range of meaning of vocabulary. The online format of the exercises allows students to get immediate feedback on their answers.

The Compleat Lexical Tutor
An important site for students and teachers of ESL. The site includes vocabulary levels tests, concordancing materials for all AWL words and a vocabulary profile (Web-Profiler) program that can analyze student papers for a count of word types.

English for University is a useful site for students hoping to pursue post-secondary studies in an English-speaking institution.
