《少儿英语拼读教程》(Floppy’s Phonics)是牛津大学出版社出版的英语母语学习材料——《牛津阅读树》(Oxford Reading Tree)中的一个子品牌系列，旨在通过 生动有趣的故事让儿童轻松自然地掌握英语单词的拼读规律，培养他们认读英语的能力。英语作为拼音文字，在单词读音和书写形式之间有内在的联系和规律。 在英语国家，一般在幼儿园和小学低年级阶段都是通过阅读故事的方式系统地教 授字母以及字母组合的读音来认读单词，让儿童在字母和发音之间建立一种直觉联系，最终做到“见词能读、听词能写”。英语国家教授儿童学会读书识字历来 都是采用这种做法，而这种简便有效的做法在我国英语教学中一直没有受到足够 的重视。该套教材的引进将从形式和内容上改变我国传统的、费时低效的音标教学法，让孩子从一开始就在生动有趣的故事中学习并掌握英语单词的拼读规律， 克服初学英语的困难，迅速提升阅读能力，为日后的英语学习打下坚实的基础。
