Dad took Kipper to a farm

They met the farmer in the farmyard

You can park near the barn.

Bang the peg in harder

Right

They had supper

Then Kipper got into bed

It got dark, Dad got a light.

Dad got into bed, too. But his bed was hard.

At ten, Dad had a shock. Floppy was barking.

Floppy was barking at a goat. Dad had to get up.

Dad led the goat back to the barn.

It was dark. At midnight, Dad had to get up again.

Dad had to turn the car alarm off. He had to fix it.

Dad got back into bed. But a barn owl was hooting.

...the hens ran up and down...

...a cow was mooing...

...and the farm dog was barking.

Dad got back into bed. He put his socks in his ears.

But soon it got lighter and lighter.

Kipper got up. Dad did not.
